Privacy Policy

How tention-pleas handles information in games, apps, and websites.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to games, applications, prototypes, and websites published by tention-pleas, an independent product lab operated by Alexander Korchagin (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Scope

This policy covers products distributed through platforms such as Google Play, the Apple App Store, Steam, and our own websites (including browser / WebGL builds), unless a specific product publishes a separate privacy notice that supersedes this one.

3. Information we may collect

Depending on the product and platform, we may process:

Account / platform identifiers — for example platform user IDs, nicknames, or friend lists provided by Google, Apple, Steam, or similar services when you sign in or use platform features.
Gameplay and progress data — save data, settings, achievements, session stats, and similar in-app state needed to run the product.
Device and technical data — device model, OS version, language, coarse region, performance metrics, crash logs, and diagnostics.
Purchase data — whether a purchase or entitlement occurred, processed by the store (we do not receive your full payment card details).
Analytics events — anonymized or pseudonymized usage events (e.g. screens viewed, feature usage, retention signals) to improve products.
Communications — if you email us or contact support, we keep the content of that correspondence.
Optional uploads — if a product lets you submit files (for example audio clips for analysis), we process that content only to provide the requested feature.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as government ID numbers, precise health records, or precise continuous location) unless a product clearly asks for it for a stated purpose and you choose to provide it.

Operate, maintain, and improve our games, apps, and websites
Save progress, preferences, and entitlements
Diagnose crashes, bugs, and performance issues
Understand aggregate usage and make product decisions
Process purchases and restore entitlements via store platforms
Respond to support requests and enforce safety / abuse rules
Comply with applicable law and platform requirements

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

If GDPR or similar laws apply, we typically rely on: performance of a contract (providing the product), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), and/or consent where required (for example certain optional analytics or marketing).

6. Sharing with third parties

We may share limited data with:

Platform providers — Google, Apple, Valve/Steam, Unity, hosting providers, and similar infrastructure needed to distribute and run the product
Analytics / crash tools — services that help us measure usage and stability (configured to collect what is reasonably needed)
Payment processors / stores — which handle billing on their own terms
Authorities — only if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the service

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Advertising and tracking

Some products may show ads or use attribution / measurement SDKs required by ad or store networks. Where those tools are used, they may collect device advertising identifiers and related signals under their own policies. You can usually limit ad tracking in your device or platform settings.

Our marketing website may use lightweight analytics cookies or similar technologies to understand traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children’s privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it where required.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example while your save/account data is active, for a reasonable period of crash and analytics logs, or longer when required for legal, security, or accounting reasons. Optional uploads may be deleted after processing or after a short retention window unless a product states otherwise.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small indie studio. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use strong platform account security.

11. International transfers

We may process and store information on servers or services located outside your country (including the United States, EU, or Asia). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers.

12. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email alexuro@gmail.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For data held only by Google, Apple, Steam, or other platforms, you may also need to use those platforms’ privacy tools and account settings.

13. Third-party links and services

Our products may link to third-party sites or use platform social features. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our products after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
